Frock:Burda WOF 08-2008-126
Socks: Alannah Hill
Shoes: Old ones from the wardrobe
Hair piece: Dior rose
Makeup: Aunty Cheryl

I made the rose following the instructions from Couture The Art of Fine Sewing by Roberta Carr.

And one more, just because I can (and she is smiling):

We all had a wonderful time!

  1. Ellen looks so elegant! You must be just bursting with pride!

In the last photo, I cannot get over how much she looks like you - beautiful mom, beautiful daughter!

  2. Beautiful! (Love the socks.) My DD was Salutatorian and her friend was valedictorian of her class. Things are much more casual here in the states!

  3. Beautiful daughter and beautiful dress! LOL, she and my DD look to be about the same in the bust size. (Clothes look better on small-busted women, right?!)

  4. Wow! Beautiful dress! Beautiful young woman! Beautiful Dior rose & make-up! Rarely do I wish to be young again, but sometimes... ;)

On a side note, do you subscribe to BWOF? A young woman from Malaysia has asked if I know of how she might subscribe, and I thought that maybe you (being in roughly the same neck of the world wide woods) might have some advice. Thanks!

  5. Gorgeous! What an exciting time in Ellen's life. And I can see your face in hers. (She probably doesn't want to hear that, as I never really cared to hear that when I was her age, but now I find myself looking and acting more like my mom and I really don't mind at all!).
